Job Description

As our first sales hire, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our sales strategy and driving our revenue growth. You will be at the forefront of our efforts to expand our client base, building strong relationships with SMEs and understanding their unique insurance needs. Your work will directly contribute to our goal of becoming the preferred insurance partner for SMEs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to effectively reach potential SME clients.
• Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and understand industry trends.
• Engage with SMEs through various channels (phone, email, social media, and in-person meetings) to introduce CoverPilot’s offerings.
• Provide personalised consultations to businesses, assessing their insurance needs and recommending suitable CoverPilot solutions.
• Negotiate and close deals, ensuring both client satisfaction and company profitability.
• Work closely with the product and customer service teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
• Provide feedback to the team on market needs and product improvements.
• Set and achieve sales targets, reporting regularly on progress to the leadership team.

Qualifications

• Proven sales experience; bonus if done in the insurance or fintech sectors.
• Strong understanding of the SME market and their specific needs.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
• Self-motivated with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
