The role

We are seeking a Project Manager who:

• Has recent project management experience on commercial and industrial projects ranging from $0.5m - $15m
• Has a proven track record of high-quality projects safely delivered on time and on budget
• Enjoys leading and managing a team, using initiative and thinking on your feet

The role is full-time, permanent, Monday to Friday based in our head office in Salisbury, Brisbane. The role may periodically be site-based dependant on project requirements.

You will have the autonomy to effectively manage your projects and ensure they are delivered safely, on-time & within budget. As a leader of a small, multidisciplinary team, you will also have the opportunity to support other teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects to high levels of customer satisfaction.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Develop project plan and schedules, including timelines, and milestones.
• Collaborate with clients, design teams, site teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to establish project requirements and expectations.
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Procure, coordinate, and effectively manage all necessary resources, including materials, equipment, and labour.
• Implement quality, safety and risk control measures to uphold construction standards and regulations, ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and identify any issues that require attention.
• Foster a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and productivity.
• Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, including site staff and contractors.

Qualifications & experience

• MUST have at least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager delivering commercial and industrial projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to hold others to account.
• Deep understanding of project management methodology.
• Highly effective problem-solver; exceptional ability to analyse problems, develop solutions and make decisions.
• Trade or tertiary qualified in a construction industry relevant discipline such as Engineering, Construction Management, Building Surveying or a degree with relevant post grad experience (advantageous).
• JobPac & Procore experience desirable.
• Professional attitude with the desire to learn and progress your career in the construction industry.
