We are seeking a Sr Business Development Manager to join our Pacific Fire team in Melbourne. This role involves driving profitable growth beyond market norms by promoting our fire product portfolio, including software, to specifiers, consultants, and end-users. The position focuses on identifying opportunities, getting specified and converting them through our preferred partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and build portfolio pipeline within VIC/SA region.
  • Ensure precise specification and continuity of offerings throughout the sales cycle.
  • Effectively manage opportunity pipeline in SFDC (NEX) to meet acceptable metrics.
  • Collaborate on project proposals alongside Systems Architects and FAEs.
  • Proactively establish and nurture favourable relationships with consultants, while maintaining key associations with system integrators, service providers, and contractors.
  • Deliver precise forecasts and reports consistent with team MOS.
  • Direct efforts towards targeted vertical markets, aligned with AOP / STRAP objectives.
  • Foster substantial customer relationships across all organizational tiers.

Experience & Capabilities:

  • Tertiary qualification in business management or equivalent
  • Technical competency in fire or similar industry
  • Formal sales training
  • 5+ years proven track record of Business Development / sales of technical products to vertical market segments
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully influence changes in buyer behaviour
  • Demonstrated ability to establish deep business relationships with consultants and end-users
  • Fire detection industry background beneficial
