You will be working for a dynamic FinTech that offers a broad range of end-to-end financial services to the non-bank market and works with a variety of Australian businesses in different industries. The company prides itself on delivering a leading suite of lending products in a competitive, efficient, and compliant manner. The business is focused on growth and expansion using technology.You will be a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Business Development Manager, based in Melbourne. You will focus on selling lines of credit, Equipment Finance, and new small business term loans with limits up to $500k. You will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and expanding market presence across Southern Australia. You will have a strong background in asset finance or Equipment Finance sales.
The role:
- Develop and execute strategic Business Development plans to drive sales and revenue growth across Southern Australia
- Identify and target potential clients, including small businesses, start-ups, and entrepreneurs, to promote a range of financial products and services
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and other referral partners to generate leads and close deals
- Collaborate with internal teams, including credit analysts and underwriters, to structure and negotiate financing solutions tailored to clients' needs
- Understand industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and mitigate risks
- Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process, from initial contact to post-funding follow-up
- Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs set by management, while maintaining high standards of professionalism and integrity
- Act as a brand ambassador for the company, representing corporate values, whilst promoting products and services at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities
- A Graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- B2B product knowledge of business finance products including Equipment Finance, lines of credit and small business loans
- Experience in Equipment Finance Sales via third party introducers is essential for this role
- Have an established network of brokers and referral partners in the designated territory
- Proven ability to work with little direction to manage issues and build strong relationships with your network
- First class customer service skills
- First class communication skills both written and verbal
- Intermediate skills with MS Office
- Ability to analyse internal processes for servicing clients and make recommendations for business process improvements
- A Team player with the ability to organise and prioritise a busy workload
- A clean driving license that allows you to go out and meet your clients
- Hungry and driven personality with a desire to exceed sales targets & KPI’s
