Construction Business Development Manager 200K Ote

BDM needed for a building products company, highly competitive salary with uncapped commissions paid quarterly.

The Company
Our client is an established Australian company providing building products for construction. They have a head office in Sydney and sales offices and distributors across Australia and New Zealand.
The Position
An exciting opportunity has become available for a dynamic Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive business growth in the Melbourne region. As the BDM, you will play a pivotal role in propelling our client's growth, both by generating new leads and nurturing existing relationships. This role demands a unique blend of creativity, dynamism, and superior interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with Tier 1 and down builders, trades etc. Having pre-established connections and leads with Tier 1-2 builders will be a significant advantage.
The Role
The role includes (but not limited to):

• Identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, aligning with our client's strategic vision and innovation in building solutions.
• Strengthen and expand relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and delivering custom solutions.
• Lead a team of estimators, inspiring them to achieve excellence and contributing to a collaborative work environment.
• Represent our client in the industry, demonstrating their one-stop-shop capabilities and unique value proposition at events and forums.

The Candidate
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in Business Development or sales, particularly in the construction industry (preferred).
• Some working knowledge around construction (preferred).
• Pre-established connections and leads with Tier 1-2 builders (preferred).
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to attend events and handle urgent requests as needed
