About this Position
The Sales Administrator at Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB) Corporate Meetings and Incentives Unit is an administrative role focusing on managing upcoming national and international conferences and incentives for successful outcomes. We seek an individual passionate about data entry and with an inherent attention to detail. Comfortable working autonomously or within a team, you'll be crucial in ensuring events' success for planners and MCB.
This full-time contract concludes at the end of June 2025, with a negotiable part-time option.

The role
- Administration of the National Business Events Program including management of applications, milestone documentation, contracts, grant payments, and client liaison.
- Collaborate with Business Events Victoria on the execution and administration of the National Business Events Program.
- Support the Corporate Meetings and Incentives unit on responding to business event enquiries, including maximising return on investment for MCB’s partners.
- Collaborate with the MCB Finance Team on finance related enquiries including reconciliations and payments.
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, payments, and event data for auditing purposes and reporting to stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders including event organisers, corporate clients, and MCB Partners to ensure the successful delivery of business events.
- Obtain proposals and facilitate tenders on behalf of clients and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders across multiple business units. Work in partnership to ensure the successful delivery of contractual benefits whilst also achieving maximum outcomes for MCB.
- Contribute to the ongoing delivery of Visit Victoria’s and MCB’s strategy and objectives.
About you
- Minimum 2 years of administration experience, preferably in business events and/or tourism sectors.
- Prioritisation skills to manage activities and coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent service orientation and a flexible, client-centric approach.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
- Digital proficiency across various platforms (CRM, Excel, Word).
- Passion for Events and Tourism.
