THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the CEO we’re looking for a committed and determined Business Development Manager to create and apply an effective BD strategy to help maximise our existing sales pipeline and also add new clients to our services.  Use your experience and understanding of air quality, laboratory services, or emission testing to help drive our business.

We need someone who is determined, hands-on, and who understands key financial levers and project management.  This position is designed to develop market share and build top-line revenue for Ektimo and provide our clients with focused solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop an integrated growth strategy across all business lines focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction. 
  • Translate that strategy into actionable steps and encouraging multi-service opportunities.
  • Manage the quoting process including follow-up and pricing strategies.
  • Seek out opportunities for major proposals and tenders and following through from initial discussion to project commencement.
  • Use data to drive key decisions and focus areas.
  • Coordinate meetings with key clients and regulatory authorities to understand their changing needs and priorities.
  • Upskill others with Business Development tools and processes.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE

For candidates to be considered, they must have a proven record of success in Business Development, growing client accounts and winning bids (minimum 4 years). 

  • Experience within a related field is highly desirable – air quality, laboratory services, emission testing.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification is beneficial but not essential.
YOU MUST ALSO HAVE
  • A good understanding of key operational levers to improve quality, profit and growth.
  • Ability to use technology to deliver insights and outcomes.
  • A sales-minded mentality.
  • Confidence in conducting negotiations.
  • Ability to quickly grasp and understand industry issues and trends.
  • Self-motivation as many of your tasks will be autonomous.

This will suit a candidate with a passion for sales and capturing new business opportunities.
