Business Development Manager

Due to continued growth in across Australia, we are now seeking to expand our VIC sales team.

The successful applicant should be prepared to put themselves out into the marketplace and build relationships with new and existing customers.

Our business is all about listening to our customers’ needs and providing matching transport solutions.  Our focus is not limited to import/export enquiries but also includes cross trade and oversize domestic transport.  Ideally, we are seeking someone who is keen to develop a long-term career with NMT Shipping and forge equally long relationships with customers.

 You will be the point of contact for your customers and responsible for:

• Identifying customers.
• Building and maintaining client and supplier relationships whilst building your referral network.
• Liaising with the operations team on shipments progress.
• Quotations.

To be considered for this full-time role you must have the following experience and skills set:

• Freight forwarding (sea) and Business Development experience.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Previous experience in EDI Cargowise software is highly regarded.
• Be computer literate and be able to learn new systems quickly.
• High keyboard accuracy and speed.
• Problem solving mindset.
• Ability to handle stress, and work within deadlines.
• Be able to work in a team environment & independently as required.
• Driver’s License.
