- Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University
This is an exciting new position developed within the STEM College's Business Development and Partnerships portfolio, specifically aimed at growing the School of Engineering's portfolio of industry engagement and partnership activities.
The School of Engineering is one of the largest Engineering Schools in Australia and has a strong commitment to driving innovation and collaboration through our industry partnerships. Our industry partners range from small companies to multinational organisations and we work together on translating our research into impact for our partners and the wider community.
In the role, you will identify Business Development opportunities and deliver new strategic relationships that will grow our external engagement with industry. You will play a key part in establishing new Industry Innovation Hubs at RMIT. The Hubs are a key strategic initiative for the School, supporting an expansion in teaching and research activities.
To be successful in this position, we are looking for key soft and technical skills:
- Demonstrated Business Development and stakeholder management experience with industry government, and universities, particularly major program and project attraction, will be highly valued.
- Excellent communication, persuasion, and facilitation skills will be key in building strong relationships and driving successful outcomes.
- The ability to thrive in dynamic, and complex environments, and you're ready to take on challenging and exciting opportunities.
- With your relevant discipline and industry knowledge, you will have the unique ability to identify, understand, and position RMIT University as a partner and collaborator to industry.
