Business Development Manager - Junior
The purpose of this role is to generate business-to-business sales for McMullan and Bird Pty Ltd. This role includes working with channel partners to facilitate the sale of house & land, townhouses, and apartment property transactions. Primarily working with wealth creators, property investment firms, and financial planners to build and nurture relationships that produce high volume successful property sales.
The duties of this role include:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets and maximise revenue in the wholesale business unit.
- Actively seek out and bring in new sales opportunities through lead generation, networking, and prospecting activities.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key wholesale clients, including sales partners, developers, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for business growth.
- Accountable for supporting the launch and sales of projects listed exclusively by McMullan and Bird. Ensure channel partners are well equipped to generate sales in the right projects that help McMullan and Bird achieve results with priority vendors.
- Develop positive working relationships with McMullan and Bird team. Work with the marketing, administration, and stock support functions in a productive and results oriented manner.
- CRM maintenance. Update Salesforce to ensure all channel partner leads and accounts are well maintained within the system.
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by the MD or leadership within the organisation.

- Knowledge of property industry and how it operates including knowledge of new house & land property sales and sales in regional areas in particular (desirable).

- Able to self-motivate and happy to work in a fast-paced environment.
Success for this role looks like:
- Achieving sales KPIs consistently each month including number of new reservations, number of new channel partners acquired and managing fall-over rates.
- A quality diverse list of channel partners yielding a target number of average sales per year.
- Values aligned conduct and behaviour.
- A well-maintained Salesforce CRM for relationship management.
- Strong and positive working relationships with internal and external partners.
