Business Development Manager (BDM) - Construction Industry
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who will be responsible for driving growth opportunities and fostering strategic partnerships within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the construction market, strong communication skills, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
This position is entirely new allowing you to take charge of the sales systems and processes for the company’s intake of new projects. You will work closely and report to Managing Director.
You will be a commercially focused, self-starting team player who enjoys dealing directly with stakeholders whilst ensuring both the clients and company needs are met or exceeded. In return you will receive a competitive remuneration package + bonuses, together with fantastic career opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction industry through tender portals, market research, networking, and prospecting.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including architects, contractors, developers, and decision-makers.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted marketing strategies and campaigns to generate leads and increase brand visibility.
- Lead the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure, ensuring a seamless transition to the project delivery team.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Provide regular reports and updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and market trends to senior management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or Sales Manager within construction industry is highly regarded
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and CRM software.
